That dog is doing his job, he had no intentions of tangling with that badger but he is leading it away from the humans. We had a rooster like that, if racoons got in the coop he would spur them and then lead them out of the coop.
The dog looks like it's one of the sled dog breeds. They're hard-wired to fight predators until "their" human can kill it. Unfortunately, there aren't any humans around the "good boy" who can kill that badger. Learned this little factoid about those dog breeds whilst serving with the Canadian Inuit in the Canadian far north. They'll pick fights with polar bears to give the humans enough time to arm up and kill it.
I notice that the dog is not really running away that hard. He doesn't want to get away, he just wants to protect his humans. #7- I lifted a bit over 300# in the clean and jerk in high school, during the summer before my senior year of football. I know that log is no where near that heavy. #10- when she first stuck out her tongue, it scared me. I didn't know what was going to happen. But no doubt she has no problem getting dates.

Turtles are almost hard-wired to rescue other turtles irrespective of the variety.
