Cops arrested a Florida man who allegedly broke into a neighbor’s home and molested a woman’s sleeping children.
David Andrew Ogden, 39, is facing several counts of lewd and lascivious behavior and one count each of burglary with assault and resisting arrest. According to a probable cause arrest affidavit, the mother of the victims was driving for Uber when a friend called her shortly before 12:30 a.m. Sept. 7 to say in-home cameras showed Ogden inside a bedroom where all three kids were sleeping. She immediately started driving home.

ReplyDeleteI'm confused by this story and saddened by the content. Was there any adult in the house that was broken into? "Mother was driving with uber" who was home with the kids? Who leaves their kids alone without a babysitter? Moms lucky their alive.could have been a different outcome altogether.

Sometimes a jerk who wants to go out and party and sometimes someone who is trying to make a living for their family and cant afford sitters. 2 cases from my days working child welfare; one lady's start time was 6am (common at auto plants) day cares didn't open until after 6 so she would get them up, feed and dress them and leave them alone until they were supposed to leave for school( kids 6 and 8) other case was single dad working midnights , left the kids with 11 yr.(?) in charge. He did say he'd taught the 11 yr old how to use the shot gun. My co worker did work with lady and somehow found adequate day care, dont remember how other case was resolved.
DeleteI was babysitting my little sister and brother (8 & 5 years old) when I was 10, but we were living in Army quarters. If anything serious were to go wrong, I could go across the stairwell and get a neighbor to help.
DeleteYes let the legal process work. Then if guilty- I almost feel sorry for the guy spending time in the slammer with bubba. Key word: almost.
