Heading into Election Day, we hear constantly that the presidential candidates are mortal threats to American democracy. Anxieties about Donald Trump’s role in the Jan. 6, 2021, rampage at the U.S. Capitol and his declaration that he would act as “dictator for a day” are countered by Elon Musk’s warning that if Harris wins, “this will be the last election,” or alarms that Harris’ designs on overhauling the Supreme Court will lead to an end to the rule the law.
The very idea that our republic’s future hangs on the outcome of a single presidential contest, however, reveals the deeper, unacknowledged, underlying danger: a Congress incapable of performing its constitutional duties as our country’s lawmaking body and the guarantor of our representative democracy.
The threat to America is a basic lack of common-sense stupidity and it appears it's rife in the 21st century. For instance, after almost 4 years of the Democrat sock puppet Bidens fucking over the country 50% of the voters still think the asshole did a great job and or Trump's a Hitler. In addition, both parties are bombarding the media waves 24 hours, 7 days a week with bullshit ads they say are to sway uncommitted voters. WTF! If anyone with 2 brain cells hasn't decided now they should be sealed in a 55-gallon drum of Formaldehyde. It's all bullshit folks. That's what you have to remember as you go through life in this country. It's all bullshit, and it's bad for you.
ReplyDeleteMy response to politics so many times is "It's all bullshit!" that a buddy of mine keeps telling me he's going to get me a t-shirt emblazoned with the saying. No gift pak yet.

Democracy is the problem in our former republic. It is not the solution.
ReplyDeleteCongress is a smelly pile and having that while the placed president overriding congress and the SC is not the way America is designed to run.. Unfortunately there's no peaceful way to end this if voting is not secure and honest

Nothing will be done until you pay the lobbyist to make it happen. Congress does not write laws. Lobbyist do.
