The most Patriotic attempted homicide ever

In the most American of crimes, a 39-year-old Iowa man tried to strangle his mother with a U.S. flag, according to court records. 

Police allege that Adam Sotzen was intoxicated early Monday morning when he appeared at the victim’s residence in North Liberty, an Iowa City suburb.
