And you thought your wife had a thing about shoes

Three men have been charged in connection with a brazen heist in which they stole more than 1,200 pairs of Air Jordan Retro 11 shoes from a train parked in the Mojave Desert.

  1. A YouTube video of Michael Jordan's new $78 million G650 jet popped up not long ago and it made me wonder how a guy that's been retired for years pays for something like that. I had forgotten all about his Nike endorsement money. I guess that cash cow will never die.

  2. There's a certain racial group that'd commit murder to get their hands on and feet into these boon boots

  3. My question is, how'd these people know which train car had the shoes????

    1. Maybe a code scanner?
During the 2014 ammo shortage a Wal Mart employee said guys use code scanners to find out which truck had the ammo. They'd also see the truck ETA and get to the store before opening on that day.

    2. It was the car that smelled like the gym locker room.

  4. "organized theft rings" are no match for the popo.

Rotflmao. 3 boos nab a train car for some Jordans. Too stupid to look for tags. Cops trace tags, given by manufacturer, and claim hero status

  5. The cars of that parked train were also no doubt loaded with “graffiti.” I’m old enough to remember when rail cars were not defaced with that crap. Most of the coal hoppers on BNSF and UP lines out here carrying product from Powder River are unpainted. (Guess there aren’t too many clowns out in the middle of nowhere.) As I’ve driven past parked trains the consists are about 1.25mi long.

  7. That's nothing. Imelda Marcos had 3,000 pairs of haute-couture shoes, and she kept them in illuminated display cabinets, not cardboard boxes in the closet. Just to keep those cabinets dusted and Windexed and replace the light bulbs must have added up to a human career or two.
