The Biden regime has quietly revoked the veterans hiring preference for civil service jobs and promotions, which since the 1944 Veterans Act gave eligible veterans preference over others for appointments in federal civil service selection, a memorandum obtained by American Greatness shows.

I know that the Democratic [sic] Party is used to not following the law, but if it was part of the 1944 Veterans Act (a law), how is Biden able to just revoke it? FJB
ReplyDeleteLaw? Biden? The two don't go together.
DeleteI'm not usually for preferences in hiring, but I definitely back a preference for veterans. My only qualification is that they are qualified. If its a tie between two people, by qualifications, if one is a veteran and one is not, I would give the job to the veteran.
ReplyDeleteI served on some best qualified panels in my years as a civil servant, and that's how it works. We select who's the best fit, HR adds the veteran preference points where appropriate, and makes a decision from there.
Deleteshocked! not
ReplyDeleteThis has the mark of the magic negro. Change in policy to reinterpret an act of Congress.
ReplyDeleteIt is pettiness on display. It will not last, it's simply intended as a disruption. It is the immature acting out of small minded buffoons.

FJB
The new word for today. Pettifogged, an archaic term synonymous to squabble, especially of petty concerns.
President Trump is going to be busy redoing all the crap fjb has screwed up.
ReplyDeleteYou cannot hate this "regime" enough...
ReplyDeleteDon't see how some unknown agency can overule an act of Congress but I guess it happens all the time (looking at you ATF)
ReplyDeleteThe Eye of DOGE needs to turn towards Defense Civilian Personnel Advisory Service. Looks like an easy place to start. Don't have to abolish these agencies, just quit paying them and the problem will work itself out. Let the bureaucrats learn to code...or pick cotton...shuck corn...give BJs behind the bus station
Of course they would........to make more room for their DEI bs......
ReplyDeleteThere was plenty of DEI BS before this. Back in 1979, my father applied to 100s of federal jobs. He frequently got responses along the lines of "you're perfect for the position, you don't happen to be a black leabian?" We came very close to changing our last name to Gonzales because of it.
DeleteThe Biden memorandum states that under the updated authorities, “individuals may be appointed to competitive service career, career-conditional, term, or temporary position, without applying veterans’ preference and competitive rating and ranking procedures at the grade levels.”. In other words,. Vets are victims of DEI.
ReplyDeleteBIden or his handlers are apparently fucked up enough to do something like this, at a time when our once proud military is having a hard time getting enough volunteers to fill out their needs. So hey, why not screw them one more time before he leaves Washington, D.C.
ReplyDeleteI once felt sad for Biden, with him being in the state where he was mentally declining, and still was holding the most powerful office in probably the world. But now all I feel after seeing the things he is trying to do before Trump takes office is complete contempt. That contempt goes to his close staff and relatives who have benefited from his criminal machinations. They all deserve jail.
You posted that Biden was encouraged to pardon Trump. I can see a situation where Trump pardons Biden, in a move to show he wants to repair the nation and bring us together. I don't know if it is something that will happen, but with Trump it would not be out of character for him to do something to help the nation heal. But of course the liberal lefties would just say that Trump was trying to buy his enemies good will. The good thing about Trump is that he really doesn't care what others think of him. He is probably the strongest leader in Washington we have had since before I was born, in 1960. Too bad he faces an uphill battle to fix what the Democrats have screwed up.
I wholeheartedly agree. At this point if Biden were to set the White House on fire on his way out of the door I would not be shocked.
DeleteI do not like the fact that Trump is going wobbly on exacting justice. Goodwill is seen as weakness to these people, which I find ironic because none of them have ever been punched in the face.
There must be swift and severe justice or they will just do it again.
A move that will, hopefully, be quickly reversed in January.
ReplyDeleteJan 20, 2025. 3PM. Washington, DC. President Trump loudly announces that the Veterans' Preference is reinstated, and tells all the Bidenites to go piss off.
