Cowboy Knives

 VIDEO HERE  (17:54 minutes)

While I carried a small sheath knife when I was prowling around the Sierras, my beltline is just too busy for an EDC between my holster, reloads and multi-tool. It doesn't keep me from buying the damned things, though.

  1. Same problem here. Just got a ka-bar TDI and can’t figure out how to set it up. Nuts.

  2. Benchmade auto is my daily carry. Every Monday it gets a couple of strokes on a ceramic rod that keeps it razor sharp.

  3. To me, a cowboy knife will always be a three blade stockman slipjoint.

    1. There has to be a reason they are called a "Stockman's Knife " . And I was also thinking an old style Barlow knife would be right at home in a cowboy's pocket , small handy and used dozens of times in a day.

  4. Speaking of cowboys, let's not foget the cow-bell.
"Houses of the Holy.... Led Zeppelin, best cow-bell song ever.

  5. Tactical Molle Water Bottle Pouch, sheath attached with snap, and 3.5" blade. Pretty much goes with me everywhere.

  6. I didn't hear him mention sharp until the end but was sure he would. My grandpa gave me a pocket knife when I was young, preteen. My mother said, it's sharp! He said, " A man will cut himself quicker with a dull knife than with a sharp knife." I never forgot that. A dull knife you struggle to cut and at times you get cut too. A sharp knife slices with ease. I can't really remember not have a knife somewhere on my body since I was a kid.
