Meh. While everyone was blowing dope and dancing naked in the mud, I was crawling through wet sand under live machine gun fire getting ready to voyage and die for the realm in SE Asia. I did run into some of the revelers when I was walking through the Terminal at LAX coming home on leave. I was cursed and spit at. I believe they cleaned themselves up, went to law school and found work in the Clinton Administration. To this day (age 77) I have not forgotten. Grace Slick and her ilk, the Jesuit Berrigan Brothers, and the other pothead useful idiots of the American Communist Party gave aid and comfort to the commies who were trying to kill me and my brothers. Anathema sit.

ReplyDeleteI saw them at the Atlantic City Pop festival a month before Woodstock. It was considered warm up festival, but not many acts did both.
