My 1st car I put together over a year. I got it from my brother who bought it after he returned from Vietnam after 3 years and was on leave before going to Ft Hood. He had the car in pieces (the whole car, engine, tranny, etc) and could not take it with him to Texas so he sold it to me. I was 15 still in 72. I had the car on jacks and lifts, but would never put it like this above.
Wonder how he ( it's always he, in it?) got it up there in the first place. On a vaguely related note, had a coworker get his rims n tires boosted. They used a brand-new floor jack to get the car onto milk crates, then left the jack and the bill from the auto parts place behind. Cops said the CC used was also stolen, but the store cam ID'd them plus prints at the scene. ( Yes, BooBoo) He still didn't get his stuff back.

ReplyDeleteAgain, NOT an Alabama tag. Just sayin'.
ReplyDeleteSafety first? Naw, it came in 7th or 8th, if it finished the race at all. Looks like a rickety Jenga tower.
ReplyDeleteJust as reliable as Harbour Freight jack stands
ReplyDeleteDude, any jack stand from anywhere is better than that mess!
ReplyDeleteFamous last words.......Yeah, that's not going anywhere.
ReplyDeleteYo, sugar - slide under there and grab me that wrench, will ya?
ReplyDeleteIt's perfectly safe to crawl under there. Just don't touch anything.
ReplyDeleteShows picture to St Peter...
