Two explanations are popular among Democrats for why Donald Trump won: voters are racist and voters (wrongly) blame their economic insecurity on mass immigration.
In a post-election autopsy at The New York Times, correspondent Miriam Jordan admitted that Americans’ immigration attitudes have shifted “to the right,” but argued that this is borne not of intelligent analysis but of a spell cast by a demagogue. Jordan quoted Rodrigo Garcia, a “Mexican American” who was taken in by “Trump’s forceful rhetoric.” “I feel like there should be a certain limit of the people that come into America, instead of just letting everyone come in,” Garcia said.

ReplyDeleteWrong, American immigration attitude has always been come here LEGALLY, do the work to become a citizen and embrace our system... It's NEVER been mass illegal invasion nor a pass to break our laws, take our jobs, overburden our schools and hospitals...

I wonder where the 10 million illegal aliens that Biden let in are currently living.

ReplyDeleteThe tren de araugua (sp?) folks that broke into the apartment in Colorado were reported to have ripped the female occupant's fingernails out. See the first minute and a half or so of this video report: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9pTX5140zo for corroboration. I fear it's about to get spicy.
