Woman dies after Sleep Number bed traps her between mattress and wall for 2 days
An Illinois woman has sued the maker of Sleep Number beds after her elderly mother suffered injuries when a bed malfunctioned and left her trapped. She later died from her injuries.
Looked up one of these beds. They have a head board. How to hell did she get between the head board and the wall? Or did she raise he mattress and get inside the frame between the mattress and head board. I dunno, something weird here.
I have a sleep number and the head board is optional (so they can charge a LOT more for it). And yes, there are lots of warnings in the paperwork, instructions, etc. about staying out of the way of moving parts. Plus those bed are mongo heavy - any normal bed and your can push it across the floor. The sleep number? It don't push.
Not a Murphy. It's like a hospital bed with a head board. I'd never heard of one so looked it up. I have a similair bed. No head board but no way could I get between the bed and the wall. If I pulled the bed away from the wall so I could get in there and the mattress came down it would not pin me against the wall. I just don't understand any of this.

DeleteIs that like a Murphy bed? Following Murphy's law?
