Commentary: Citizens-First Immigration Reform Is Top of Mind for Americans

President Donald Trump was elected in 2016 – and again in 2024 – on a mandate from the people to put an end to the illegal immigrant crisis and implement citizens-first immigration reform.

The mandate was clear: America is a nation of laws, and illegal immigration violates our laws and presents an array of criminal and economic issues that cannot be ignored.

  1. There are likely billions of dollars sitting in the "welfare" accounts of millions of illegals right now. Hopefully someone is actively working to freeze those accounts and to claw back that money to federal coffers. I would add that we shouldn't shut off their phones though but rather use those phone accounts to track down illegals for deportation.

  2. I like the pardon of soldiers who refused covid shots. They get back pay and can be reinstated. So, those that come back sure aint woke assholes, we don't need to recruite or train them either. Good soldiers back in our military.

  3. A 10 year moratorium on any and all immigration. Get all federal monies out of education, let the Universities and higher education attract their own student body and figure out how to pay for it. Let the states run their schools, parents by and large want reading, writing and arithmetic. All subjects fall into those categories, sciences, history, critical thinking, etc. Stop pandering to the lowest ability and encourage the highest ability, every student will benefit. Making trades and apprenticeship an option starting young. Business needs to rethink how they hire and what they are trying to accomplish.

  4. The number one issue for the last 20 years was immigration but politicians ignored it and even made it 100 times worse.
