Commentary: Tennessee Parents, Not Bureaucrats, Should Choose What’s Best for Their Kids’ Education

The pandemic proved one thing beyond a shadow of a doubt: parents are responsible for directing their kids’ education. This isn’t an argument, it’s a fact. When schools close and services are suspended, it is parents who are left to figure out what to do. With this very recent context, it’s hard to believe that there are those who oppose giving parents more options. I’m here to share good news: school choice works.

  1. In order to become a government bureaucrat you have to be a power hungey-control freak and believe you're smarter than and better equipped to know what's good for the peasants who are nothing more than emotionally reacting, instant gratification, bread & circus addicted drones By God if they rebel, they have to be punished and forced to comply with your mandates. It’s only for their own good, of course.

  2. On the other end of the spectrum, there are parents that would choose not to send their kids to school at all.

    1. I didn't send my kids to school until college. They are very happy in their jobs right now.

    2. With all the shit they “teach” these days, can you blame them?
