There are invariably at least a handful of reports of emergency rescues of hikers who got lost, fell and were injured, went out unprepared and got caught in a storm, etc. etc. They never print the names, but there are always clues as to the identity, or at least the gender, of the victim. 90% are White females. Never was there ever a demographic that so routinely overestimated their strengths and capabilities as modern White women. Sometimes that fish really does need a bicycle.
