"Pssst..... Hey kid, you wanna buy some eggs?"

GREENCASTLE, Pa. (Gray News) – Roughly 100,000 organic eggs were stolen from a large egg producer in Pennsylvania, police said.

The theft happened on Saturday around 8:40 p.m. at Pete & Jerry’s Organics in Greencastle.

  1. Went to the store in the NE yesterday, egg case was empty. A woman was trying to put together a dozen eggs from the unbroken ones; white, brown, large or jumbo. Just trying to find a dozen eggs.

  3. Eggs around here are as much as $12/dozen. At a buck apiece, that's a pretty major heist!

  5. Heard that on the local news this AM. "Insured loss of about $40,000".
    Uh...hodup...100000 eggs, $40K...carries 1...why am I paying $9doz for those eggs in my local Food Lion?
