The most dramatic narrative shift in this post-lockdown period has been the flip in the perceptions of government itself. For decades and even centuries, government was seen as the essential bulwark to defend the poor, empower the marginalized, realize justice, even the playing field in commerce, and guarantee rights to all.

Actually those thoughts were those of socialist and communist... Free people never believed they needed the government except for defense in times of war.. It was the belief of our founding fathers as well. It's been taken over since they walked the earth unfortunately but we will fight to right the ship..

Agree with the assessment. We've been spoon fed propaganda since kindergarten
DeleteFor example, "Protect and Serve". All law enforcement are employees of a corporation, whether Federal, State, or Local Municipality. They serve the interests of these corporations, and that is who they protect. Yet to this day, John and Jane Doe think law enforcement have some obligation to protect them, regardless that the US Supreme Court ruled they do not.
Can't unplug people from the matrix.
That paragraph reads like something from a Superman comic.
