Every county had a great distiller back in those days. Only a few ever gained fame. My great, great grandpa, great grandpa, great uncle made great tasting corn whiskey. Just never in the volumes that brought them notoriety. Great uncle had a 250 gallon still. When he died, grandpa and dad tore the still down and destroyed it the day after the funeral.

I was a firefighter in the flowers area years ago and they transplants have ruined the area with thousands of houses and two grocery stores.
