People still fall for this scam?

Two people have been arrested for allegedly using a fake sob story to collect cash from good Samaritans trying to help pay for a child’s funeral.

This shit was happening all over Modesto for a good long while. You could drive around town and see panhandlers 'raising money for a funeral for my son who was tragically killed while.....' at a half dozen spots, yet there wasn't a single a single article or obituary in the paper about any kid being killed in the past few months. Twi months later, they pop back up doing the same shit for the same kid.

  2. Roma Gypos are a blight in most of Europe, but it looks like a few stowed away on a U.S. bound banana boat for a better future.

  3. My ex also worked in foster care. She walked into a gas station and saw a solicitation for a kid who had cancer and her folks were poor and in debt. This was a child that these folks had lost custody of and had been adopted by someone else, if i remember correctly she wasnt sick either.

  4. The lazy bastards don't even panhandle in person anymore. I get pleas on my Next Door feed erry dang day for kids who are dying, sexually abused, overdosed, mentally ill...

  5. I've seen this at the corner of a local Walmart. Raggedy-Ann and some kids that don't even remotely look like her claiming to be homeless. With spring right around the corner, she'll be back and probably with a different batch of kids this time.

  6. We got those weird gypsies in ohio. They'd play sad/dramatic violin music on a loudspeaker in the Kroger parking lot, while some young girl sawed away at a violin, pretending to play and adults gave some sob story. They were so transparent and annoying, I'm really hoping nobody donated.
