READY..... AIM..... he ded

A death row inmate who bludgeoned his ex-girlfriend's parents to death with a baseball bat in 2001 has been executed after a final meal of KFC.

Brad Sigmon, 67, was put to death by firing squad at 6.05pm on Friday at the Broad River Correctional Institution in Columbia, South Carolina.

  1. 2001. This PoS lived far too long after the crime. There was no question of his guilt. He should've been hanged by the neck within 30 days. Or beaten to death with a bat.

  2. So he's been breathing, eating, & sleeping for 24 years! Why?

  3. I only wish the penalty was carried out in the same manner as the crime.

    We are too humane.

  5. Saw some talking head on tv clutching her pearls and going on about how barbaric it was to execute this guy by firing squad. I’m not a fan of capital punishment but I’m going to reserve my sympathy for the 2 people he beat to death with a ball bat and their daughter who he shot till he ran out of bullets. He got the best deal on the table- old sparky, bad drugs or a bullet to the heart. It mentions him lay ministering to other death row inmates, not that that should exempt him from execution, but maybe his god may show him some favor.

  6. Needs to happen much more frequently...and much quicker. Two decades on death row is not justice... it's a vacation.

  7. It seems that every person on death row is “a model prisoner” and has “dedicated his life to serving and ministering to other inmates” and has “expressed continued remorse for his transgressions” and was “suffering from a temporary mental illness when he committed his crimes”
Just ask their attorneys, they’ll tell you what a great guy he really is…..

  8. Bullet to the back of the head would’ve been even faster and more humane. Although I would prefer he’d be beaten to death with a bat. But I doubt you’d be able to find guards willing to do that.

  9. And if Nancy Pelosi thought she could get away with it, every J6 defendant would have been put against the wall and shot.

    1. 20 years ago when I lived in Utah I was finishing a basement for the county DA at the time they executed a guy by firing squad , hadn’t been done there in a long time or if ever, he was a witness and part of the setting everything up legal crew, so when I asked he told me the details. They had 7 ,volunteers from prison guards and even different prisons and jails in the state, and they used Winchester model 94’s in 30-30!

  13. Like their victims, there should be no warning when the executioner comes for them.

  14. The article made it sound like he suffered, it was barbaric, etc -- 3000 feet per second, and 3 bullets made to expand rapidly -- probably instantly blew his heart apart, he'd lose consciousness within a couple of seconds, didn't have time to even feel the impact.

His victims felt the impact from that baseball bat, for more than a few seconds, I would think. How long does it take to beat two people to death with a baseball bat?

  15. Pearl-clutchers whining about ptsd for the shooters... Heck, You've got a bunch of convicted murderers in that same prison... Let them volunteer for extra "privileges" commissary, yard time, solo cell, etc. What better than having "peers" as executioners. I also think the method should match the crime. Imagine...The father, daughter dead, helpless to defend his wife, as the killer goes back and forth beating them. Bullets were too good for that killer.
