Scientists express growing concern over Trump administration targeting CA environmental laws

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- California's environmental landscape is already being shaken this week by word that the Trump administration will roll back environmental laws.

It's raising concerns about how far the administration might be willing to go to achieve its agenda in California.

  1. Good place to start rolling back the insanity we need to deal with to keep those wing nuts happy.

  2. Cal politicians and bureaucrats believe they are gawds living on Mount Olympus. It's high time they were treated like the cockroaches they are.

  4. Gas cans? Go a little further - California regulations are adopted by manufacturers as a higher standard than other states require - and they pass that increased cost right along to the consumers in those states. Like regulations governing emissions on vehicles. Regulations covering egg laying operations and livestock meat farms (pork, for instance). Maybe if California doesn't like it, they ought to stop interfering with the economies of other states.

  5. So the you know, the appointments that have been made and those that are forthcoming are people that are ideological zealots," Rosenfield said.
To rational people access to that fresh water is a priority over some smelt .. Drinking water, crop irrigation, firefighting are WAY more important than a smelt.
The ideological zealots are these so-called scientists and environments.. Fuck off

    1. I heard a Delta Smelt (aka: non-native trash fish) hasn't been seen in seven years.

    2. Elmo, it turns out that scientists have recently concluded that the Delta smelt, as a separate species requiring protection, doesn't exist. It's a common smelt, same as all the others, and needs no protection. The environmentalists 'concluded' it was a different species, all those years ago, as a way of getting control of water resources.

    3. Thanks, Anon. That's a trick the controllers have used before with birds. One year a bird is its own separate species, then before you know it, it has a separate sub-species that is in need of protection. And they think we don't notice because we don't have high-zooty college degrees. Basturds.

  7. bureaucrats - the road to hell is paved with their good intentions. Take clothes washers as a perfect example - they cost more and do a much poorer job of getting clothes clean than the same appliance purchased 30 years ago. 30 years ago if the timer stopped working to advance the cycle to the next step, the replacement part was probably $25. Now it is $300 (if you can even get one) because "technology".

Dear appliance designers - STOP ADDING MORE FEATURES. The best washing machine would only have one setting - EVERYTHING ALL AT ONCE. LOL

    1. Which is why my washer and dryer are made by SpeedQueen. You can still get models with nice rotary dials and push buttons. No fancy combonculator to narc on you and crap out at the worst possible moment.

  8. California has to stop putting whatever it is that they put in the water to make the sheep follow the Judas goat and the "Chicken Little" flock to run around the barnyard repeating, "The sky is falling."
