So what was he watching? Inquiring minds want to know
SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX/Gray News) – Investigators believe an officer in Vermont who is accused of killing a bicyclist may have been distracted when he hit him with a car.
I realize the defense attorney has to make the most compelling argument that he can dream up, given the facts, but this borders on ridiculous. It's obvious what happened. Negligent homicide. Given the perp was a LEO and really should have known better and had an official duty, I'd say this falls into the felony realm.
Worked with a guy who had twin girls, about 13 years old. They were cresting a hill near home on their bicycles in the late afternoon when a deputy sheriff going west was blinded and killed one of the sisters. The survivor's grief must have stayed with her for many, many years.

"Officer had YouTube video playing". Apparently they've renamed PornHub to give it more family friendly name.
ReplyDeleteI thought Canada said we can't have that anymore

Mebbe watching video of a cop high-speed chase and his leadfoot joined in.
ReplyDeleteWhere's 'Qualified Immunity" when you need it?
