Trump order aims to ‘extinguish the independence’ of regulatory agencies and ‘dictate’ outcomes, new lawsuit says

President Donald Trump is attempting to exert something not entirely unlike full control over Federal Election Commission (FEC) decision-making, a lawsuit filed Friday in Washington, D.C., federal court alleges.

    1. Maybe they shouldn't exist at all, since it appears all they do is dysregulate whatever their claimed area of responsibility is. Once again, it needs to be reiterated: everything government touches turns to shit. With that maxim foremost in our minds, we should seek to have the least amount of government possible, so that we can have the least amount of our day today business and existence turned to shit.

  5. The constitution calls for 3 independent branches. If it is not controlled by congress or the courts, it must be controlled by the president. We tried having an "independent" FBI for decades. I wonder how many people Hoover blackmailed.
