Under pressure from Trump, Mexico extradites cartel kingpins

Mexico on Thursday extradited some of its most notorious imprisoned drug lords to the United States in a bid to avert sweeping tariffs, including a cartel kingpin wanted for decades over the murder of a US undercover agent.

  2. One source claims Mexico extradited them due to a corrupt Mexican judge was about to have them released from prison.

  3. Fwiw, the Mexican border inspectors in Progresso Tamaulipas are definitely upping their inspections. We crossed the bridge (walking) Saturday and the line was held up greatly, every person crossing there having personal items X-Rayed (think TSA service). We walked thru magnatometers for any weapons and then were let thru. The cars were gone through with a fine tooth comb. Likely looking for firearms - ammunition. I wanted to ask but decided any interest on my part could be viewed as suspicious.

  4. The Cartels are going to push back. This is going to get sporty. Keep your head on a swivel if you live in a border state.

    1. They don't need to push hard with people like Arizona's Cartel Kate in office.

  5. They'll be confined at ADX Florence aka SuperMax. Once they get a taste of that, they'll wish they were dead.

  6. Why don't we load up all the junkies and derelicts and ship them to Mexico. That way all their customers are right there and they don't have to worry about crossing the border

  7. Bringing these people here to try them in court then putting them in prison for life isn't going to do chit to stop the flow of drugs. There are already new cartel leaders running things.

Arresting and bringing the cartel leaders here is the same 54 year old FAILED DEA playbook that has been in place since 1971.

All it's good for is for .gov to say SEE? We did something to combat the drug flow.

    Here's a tip: IT AIN'T WORKING.

What needs to happen is send seal teams and delta platoons into Mexico to KILL all cartel members and blow up their drug factories. Anything short of that is a waste of time.

Oh, we can't invade a sovereign nation? We can and should have a long time ago. What's Mexico going to do? Fight back? The Mexican Army is part of the cartel's enforcement arm, so I'm good with that.

Three Army mechanized divisions, and the 1st Marine assault force going ashore as a blocking force on Mexico's southern border, supported by a couple of air wings and maybe a carrier on each coast would roll that place up in a week or two.

    The civilian population would applaud.

The only push back would be from the weenie's in our own .gov and the feckless Euro's who can't even defend their own soil with out soiling their pants.

    1. Really? Because arresting all of the people running things IS EXACTLY how the cartels in Colombia were taken out.

  8. It's a new thing for Mexico, having a US administration that actually wants to shut this stuff down.
