Pallbearers were sent tumbling into a grave along with the coffin they were carrying after a platform collapsed as they lowered it in.
Mourners were laying Benjamin Aviles to rest after he died suddenly on March 21 at his home in Philadelphia after complications related to heart issues.
He was being buried at Greenmount Cemetery on Friday after his funeral and the grave platform collapse was caught on video by shocked family.
Coffins aren't light.
ReplyDeletegee, why doesn't this shock me. Philly after all. the home of the half assed jobs.
ReplyDeletethere was a window crew that put the "new replacement "windows in with caulk .
YUP. they where held in place with caulk. for grins and giggles, look up west Philly homes
the ones that burned down after the Philly cops dropped 4-5 pounds of C-4 on.
the city spent so much money on them with "contractors of color" that it would have been cheaper by lot to just pay for new homes in the burbs. damn near every brother that could got a pickup truck and a city contract to "repair" the damage homes.
Aviles' last words: "If I'm goin' down, you're comin' with me!!!"
ReplyDeleteI do a lot of funerals with The Patriot Guard. So many of those grave sites are pretty shaky as the pallbearers walk across the planks carrying the casket. I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often.

ReplyDeleteUh-huh
I've been a pallbearer about 6 times and it's always been heavy.... Hate to be trapped under one in a grave
