  3. #1 - Short girl, long hair. Pretty cool.
#6 - Cool trick, until you crunch to tube and have to pay for it...
#7 - Does anyone know what that's called? Looks like it's based on the wankel rotary engine, but with gears. I'd like to look it up, see if I can print one out as a fidget toy type thing with herringbone gears. That'd be pretty cool.

  5. #2 I love long hair on women but you know how they holler when you accidentally pull it while lovemaking? This is a whole new level.

    1. No, I holler when he rolls over on it in his sleep and traps me to the mattress.

  6. #6 When I first got on a Bobcat I didn't know how touchy the controls were. First I did a forward wheelie which threw me backward pulling the levers and doing a backward wheelie.

  7. #2 looks great, but I would not want to have to clean out the shower drain every month !
    # 7 is a planetary gear system. you find some in your basic auto trans.
used to know a old school machinist guy who had something close to that on his worktable
great man, he was always trying to explain how things like that worked to me.
he helped me rebuild my first engine too. my dads truck never ran that smooth before
although he never told me that. I heard it from him. dave in pa.

  13. #7 I really love stuff like that. I recently discovered tourbillon watches. A couple of hundred years ago, some guy decided that he could improve the accuracy of pocket watches by putting the escapement in a little sub assembly that rotated. It is doubtful that this invention made watches any more accurate but the mechanism is fascinating to watch working. So now you can buy tourbillon watches that have a little window in the face with the rotating escapement on view. The only reason for having this complex mechanism, now that we have quartz watches, is that it looks totally brilliant.

    1. Look a little further if you want 'mind=blown. Don't remember right off which
Swiss manufacture made it, but there's a tourbillion escapement that also
rotates 360 degrees. The idea is to overcome the force of gravity on the
      hairspring.

    2. Originator I think was Breguet. The 360 degree rotation referred to is thus:

It is the second escapement shown on this short video.

  15. # 7. Looks like a hybrid planetary/cyclo. Sun gear follows elliptical path like a Cyclo and studs replaced by idlers. Idlers rotate between Sun and Planet on elliptical path. Very cool !

  20. #1 The formation flyby. I saw that pass directly overhead once and within 100 yards of that thrice, all at 250-300 feet altitude. Twice they had the smoke going.

I live in VA Beach, at the time 2 miles almost due West of the southern end of the runways at NAS Oceana, and was kicked back on the back yard deck at the edge of a bayou. Saw the show, didn't have to deal with the crowds. A fine day.
