Looked like a fuel-air explosive. The small bang and fire followed by big bang and pressure wave is classic. Could be as simple as a bag of flour + road flare and bursting charge.
He was removing the spring from the strut without anything to restrain it other than his feet. As you can see, it is under a lot of tension ( it supports the car ). It requires strong clamps to do the job safely. I bet he never does that again...
No 10. That fool is an embarrassment to every self respecting trucker out there, even bigger fools are the one who passed it as competent to drive trucks and the one who employed it.
I refused to train one like him on car carriers around 25 years ago, after one terrifying day i told my then boss he would never be a truck driver as long as he had a hole in his arse, boss got shirty with me and decided he would train this bod himself, fine fill your boots mate. 6 weeks later he stuffed the fully loaded 9 car carrier through a low bridge at 50mph, destroying cars and the truck decks and shutting the rail line for hours = ££££££. Some people just arnt cut out for it.
And it seems to be getting worse. I trained O.T.R. drivers for a company I used to work for. I failed 3 in a row, boss hired #3 anyway and long story shortened it cost boss $ 12,000 to recover his truck and trailer.
1: This is the guy who'd trip on a flat sidewalk. Props to the camera person for not ruining the shot. 3: Poor guy has to find his glasses. 10: Found the DEI hire.

#8 And so arrives the (unlubed) Dildo of Consequences.
ReplyDeleteI think I saw his balls rolling around on the floor!
DeleteDude does kinda remind me of Moe. Got the haircut.
DeleteIs it the Moe, or the Pete Rose?
DeleteMost won't be getting up from that stupid for quite a while!
ReplyDelete# 7. Have a buddy that loves to light his farts, sometimes they look like that..

Not the first time that trailer has made contact with the loading dock.
ReplyDeleteThat dude couldn't drive a soup bean up a goat's ass with a "go-devil." *
Delete* Maul or splitting axe for splitting fire wood.
#8 is a Darwin award. He may have survived, but he's no longer part of the gene pool.
ReplyDelete#10 That's Putting the "Wiggly" back into Piggly Wiggly!
ReplyDeleteWhat is #7? And where can my friend get some?
ReplyDeleteWhat went off in the tunnel?

Delete#9 Reminds me of an old Benny Hill clip.
ReplyDeleteNo return to idle spring on the throttle.
Delete4: Did that once with a buddy driving but we were going fast enough to clear the wall.
ReplyDeleteWhat was happening in 8?

Thank you!
Delete#1, #4, #8--play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Dunno what they used in that tunnel. We used m80s taped to a 20 ounce pop bottle filled with gasoline. Now that made an impressive fireball.
ReplyDelete8 is why I say I don't do struts. The risk is not worth the reward.
ReplyDeleteNo 10.

ReplyDelete#7: Is that the exhaust tunnel in the local Taco Bell bathroom?
