  1. She will be missed. Great actress and an integral part of one of the few tv series depicting the era.

    1. What era do you think that was? It depicted the 70s and a leftward agenda. After a couple years I couldn't stand that show

  2. Great show and cast but I got pretty sick of Alan Alda after a few years. He became too whiney IMHO.

  3. She advocated for women in the military and for veteran's rights and benefits. Rest easy, Hot Lips!

  4. I was in love... She was too old for me, but I would a in a heartbeat... Sorry to see her go. 87 is a good ripe age. RIP Loretta

  5. MASH was a must watch, we would burn a couple and turn up the volume for the incoming helicopters to get things started.... This was classic television.
Rest in Peace Ms Hot Lips Swift

  6. Enjoyed M*A*S*H as a child. As I got older I realized it was not merely anti war, but anti America and played a role in the way Vietnam veterans were viewed and treated.
The game of life is hard to play.

    1. Spot on. And that leftist prick Alan Alda was insufferable.

    2. Sally Kellerman, the best Hot Lips, from the movie MASH...

  7. Alda is tough to listen to... But when most of the original buffoon cast was replaced, I thought the show became much less anti American military. Col. Potter and Padre were real favorites of mine

  8. Rest in Peace to an Actress who brought laughter to a lot of people while dealing with a grim subject. I, who have never been in the military, once spent some time with the US Marines at a place called Marine Expeditionary Camp Pohang in the ROK just before the endless mid east wars kicked off. If you were ever there you know how much it looked like the set of MASH. Those Marines were dealing with a less than ideal assignment with a lot of humor.

    1. 1977 we lived in Osan, ROK. Mikey is right; the MASH set was a double for Korea proper.

Imho, MASH was good until it became The Alan Alda Show.

  9. Great show until it went from a comedy to the leftist cant with the leftist messages. Trapper John balanced Hawkeye but once he was gone the leftward tilt accelerated until it was unwatchable.

  10. Crazy to think that being against war is considered bad thing even with the hindsight of decade after decade of failed US military actions.

  11. Its a long time ago but remember laughing (a lot) when Frank Burns drove a Sherman tank through the camp. I never thought Hot Lips was sexy irrespective of her acting ability. Alda became a pain in the arse.

  13. I am afraid I stopped liking her when she got with Martin Sheen after the 2016 election to encourage Republican Electors not to vote for Donald Trump. She fit in with the insufferable Alan Alda.
