I got turned onto them by a retired Red & White guy I used to work with. He's the same guy that turned me onto Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Jonny Lang, Robert Cray and I don't know how many other bluesy bands.
Well that guy turned you on to some really good stuff.. Kenny Wayne Sheppard is a total badass, Jonny Lang's Lie to Me is probably one of the best songs ever and Robert Cray has more talent than dozens of other musicians put together.... Friends like that are always great to have... JD
I've never seen Kenny Wayne Sheppard or Robert Cray live, but I did get to see Jonny Lang on his 21st birthday at the State Theater in Modesto. It was a small venue and a great show.
Nice..... I haven't seen Robert Cray live yet but hopefully I can one day.. Kenny Wayne is from the Shreveport, La. area and played all over while kicking off his music, lots of hole in the wall places, the best kind in my opinion.. I caught Johny Lang shortly after his Lie to Me song came out and was shocked by his delivery for such a young guy... It's really a damn shame that quality music like this is getting so hard to find, once we are gone there'll be nothing but the shit they they think is music left and that's a sin JD
Saw Jeff Healy in 1989. Canada Rocks the Capitol, Lansdowne Park, Ottawa. Saw Kenny Wayne some years ago at the New York State Fair in Syracuse, NY Both great artists. Looking back, I guess I was just lucky...
Although Jeff Healy is known for being a Blues guy he favored Jazz and had a Jazz club with his house band The Jazz Wizards. You can find several of his live jazz performances on You Tube. And yes, I like jazz but prefer the Healy Blues performances. What a loss!

A very good but underrated band in my opinion... Other than Angel Eyes and the movie Roadhouse there was little publicity on him/them around here
