The shit you can buy online

Browse Facebook Marketplace and you’ll encounter an assortment of odd finds: vintage lamps, used socks, a car engulfed in flames. Dom Robinson found a 3,300-ton, 330ft long cargo ship that sank off the Cornish coast during World War I. And it was a bargain: only £300 ($400 USD).

  1. And someone dies while diving on the ship wreck, who will be sued?
    The owner.

  2. What a dumbass. So now that he owns it, he’s now liable for complying with whatever crazy laws the Brits make up in the future regarding environmental pollution or habitat restoration or recycling or weapons possession… who knows what they’ll make up - they’re Brits. And now this dummy is on the hook for all the fines and penalties coming from whatever those future laws end up being. $400 to sign up for a lifetime of bureaucratic nightmares. Great idea.

  3. Hmmm, I know to create a dive site in the gulf there's lots of loops to jump through... There's probably almost 100 out there now off the Alabama/Florida coast now..
Good luck to the guy that bought it, hopefully you didn't buy a rusty bucket of lemons

  4. This FaceBook Marketplace thread evokes a Carlin "stuff" rant.

"That’s all you need in life, is a little “stuff”
“Stuff” you really don’t need and “stuff” you really don’t want.
People buy “stuff” with money they don’t have because buying “stuff” you don’t need, want or can’t afford is a fucking addiction".

    RIP George.

    2. "Then when you die, someone else has to deal with all your stuff, and to them it's just crap."
