yeah. wife got a kitten to go with our two dogs, one was a pit mix and the other was Slim. 110 pounds of roadie ridgeback muscle and bone. the damn kitten crawled all over the two of them all the time. used to sleep with the pit mix too. I was always amazed at how gentle they where with that little kitten. thanks for the flashback to better times. when I check your blog this AM, and saw nothing new posted , I started to worry about you. glad as hell you are okay and it just the blog "people" dave in pa.
I did development and support for more than 40 years. Sometimes shit happens and, many times, we never would figure out what the hell went wrong. Other times, multi vendor teams for weeks to find a hardware or software flaw in otherwise "bulletproof" products.
I met a woman once, who worked for a major guitar manufacturer. To save money, they went with a very cheap server farm company. One day, their machines went silent. The FBI had come in and confiscated several racks of computers that hosted porn. The companies servers were co-resident in those racks. Novice developers (cheap help) did not have recoverable backups. I have so many stories about stupid shit done to save a few bucks.
