So the next question one has to ask is: Why is the House and Senate doing nothing? We all know that Mike Johnson does exactly what Trump asks him to do. The Senate is a bit (not much) more independent. So why is Trump/House not interested in codifying any of the DOGE changes? DOGE can identify waste and abuse but it takes congress to shut down agencies. Why are they not doing it? Executive orders are worth little more than the paper they are written on. Congress can turn an executive order into a law. Why are they not doing it?
Like I said, Johnson does only what Trump tells him to do (tell me one thing that Johnson did and that Trump was opposed). So why is Trump not telling Johnson to do something?
We’ll know, hopefully by end of June, what SCOTUS rules on the district judges making idiotic nationwide rulings. If Roberts & Co cannot end the ridiculous policies of liberal judges negating sane policy set out by this administration, I certainly hope Trump tells the Judicial Branch, “FUCK YOU,” and moves ahead with enforcement of the executive orders. Starting with shipment of illegals out of the country. If it’s “Pinochet style,”, so much the better.
