I’m just a cranky old guy who did his time for Uncle Sam, and even though I know what folks mean when wishing all a “Happy 4th”, the correct ID of this day is Independence Day. We don’t celebrate a calendar date, but the revolution that established the United States of America. Thanks for giving me the soapbox Ken.
Its easier to type "4th" than "Independence Day", especially on these stupid little keyboards that phones have. Just as if I say 4th, you instantly know what I mean, I can say J6 and you know. JFK. LBJ. And of course FJB.
