A Missouri couple allegedly abandoned their young son "without remorse and without ensuring proper care" at a local courthouse — telling cops, "They were gonna take him anyway" — after the mother tested positive for methamphetamine, police say.
This may be the very best thing these 'parents' have ever done though I am sure some feel-gooders (do-gooders who only DO things to FEEL good about themselves) will try to force this kid on the parents again, but for me, one-strike and they're out.
Maybe, instead of pouring them down the drain they should put to good use the lethal injection drugs they were planning to use on Bryan Kohberger on this dynamic duo.
Immediately surrendering the child was in the child's best interest. But beauracrats need that feeling of superiority so they have to go after the parents so they can feel like they are more virtuous. "Your on drugs so you're a bad parent m'kay. We're gonna take your kid" "Ok" "Wait, what, you're not fighting back? Ok, we'll put you in jail to prove we're better than you!"
What's worse is that some time in the next few years these shitty parents will sue everyone to get their child back. And dollars to donuts, a judge will agree.
I don't know, part of me wants to dump on those two for being shit parents but the logical part says he's right and they did kinda the right thing.. The overcharging doesn't help anyone.. JD
This is a sad and tragic commentary on our society.
I'm not in a good mood today. This morning I witnessed something as awful and stupifying as this. Before that, my neighbor told me how he was hit by a speeding car while riding his bike. He flew 500' through the air. The driver stopped, got out, and dragged my neighbor across the road to make it look like someone else did it. Then he drove away. Except there were witnesses.
I try not to hate. Some people make that difficult.
