one of the best dogs I ever had was a lab/GS mix. yup. a 20 dollar pound hound. Jack was the best hunting dog I ever had or saw. he put other dog to shame even. but you had to share the rabbits with him. birds he didn't care much for. had a uncle that wanted to keep him until my dad told him I shoot his ass in a heartbeat if he tried. dave in pa.
if you have that pup in your life, you are blessed and every day is a good one. and by the size of those paws, he going to get big. but that face will love you until he dies. so what if he does some "bad" things once awhile. you will never have a better friend in your life. learn to enjoy it while it lasts. and that is never long enough. most dogs leave a bigger hole in people lives than most people will ever do after they are gone.

That's what I named my mare, although her registered name was Pass the Magic. Man could she every fly!

DeleteThat's why my Rottie is my last dog. Too Many heartbreaks in the last 40 years. Not putting my self through that any more. (after this one...)
DeleteThe price of a good dog is a broken heart. Maybe not at my age though.
