  1. Well done. Reminds me of my old Dooley Dog. All my dogs were the best dog ever. Yet Dooley stands out in my mind. He was special. I had him in the eighties and nineties yet I think of him still today.

  2. Baxter Black: Author, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and cowboy poet extraordinaire. He's together again with 'Just a Dog', somewhere.

    Rest in Peace, Baxter.

  3. His name was Siggy. Buddy of mine came over one day, grip of cigars, a 12er of Bud and a Shepard mix. When the smokes and beer were gone, he told me that the dog was going to the pound. Ex wives dog. Get rid of him, please.

Siggy had to leave in 2009. He is only 40 feet from me right now. Goddammit I miss that dude!

    Best dog ever...

  6. Everybody says they have the best dog
    None of them are wrong!

If we are going to get to heaven, one of our trials we go through on this earth is how we treated dogs.

    1. There's an extra hot place for Fauci, Vick and that most recent dog torturing NFL mooly.

  7. Nope, can't watch it. It's been a year and 7 months since I lost mine. Not in the mood to be crying.

  9. Alfie was a good dog. A Jack Russel, and my mother's bestest friend my SIL came by and mixed some kind of flea spray for the yard. Killed Alfie. I am very proud of never once looking at him and asking 'Whats it all about'.

  11. to anyone that has even had a dog. there is no such thing as just a dog.
I have loved my dogs more than my family. granted that no saying much for them , but it is true. and my eyes still get wet thinking of them too. I was blessed with some great dogs in my life. if I don't see them waiting for me at the pearly gates, there not much point in going in then. dave in pa.
