Made a trip that included a stop at Kansas City. Overheard a guy mentioning being sent by his company to do some work at the town close to you. He said their pretty conservative out there.
Been meaning to ask you...Do you know anything about the Kingsport area. Looking to leave the hell hole Wa. state has become and Tenn. is nicely located more or less central to all the extended family that keep wanting to see me more, yet refuse to make the trip west. I grew up with mountains though, so E Tenn is where I'm scoping.
Here's everything you want to know about Kingsport from demographics to the strongest AM radio station. https://www.city-data.com/city/Kingsport-Tennessee.html
City-data is my go-to site if I want to know about a town anywhere in the US.
Thanks for the link. Good hard data there. Answered several things I wondered about, but I was hoping for more of a personal opinion/experience if any.
I have Traveled all of Tenn. I Live in Central Ky, but you can't go wrong with anywhere there. I people are great, the weather is great, the scenery is great. Taxes super! Weirdo's minimum. If you live near Seattle why aren't you packing?
You don't pack in Seattle because all of the judges and prosecutors are corrupted up that direction. A mob descended upon someone once in Portland, he feared for his life and unholstered his gun to try to warn them off. They arrested and prosecuted him and not anyone from the mob. It's a lose lose there, and anywhere in the greater northwest.
I bought acreage between Kingsport and Rogersville. Its beautiful there, people are friendly, and low low crime, outside normal redneck tweakers (they're everywhere now a days).
Low taxes, few permits and regulations, lots of freedom.
#8 We need a new jar just for the stuff on Epstein! DJT keeps refusing to publish anything and on top of that has moved Maxwell to a very cushy prison. Accommodations include dormitory-style housing with shared rooms and bunk beds. The facility is designed to resemble a college campus without typical prison security features like bars or guard towers, and with limited or no perimeter fencing.
Lets not forget Maxwell groomed, trafficked and assaulted hundreds of girls. Was sentenced to 20 years in prison.... and now DJT is giving her an "upgrade" to a resort.
#2 - Yeah, I had that. Most of them, I recorded off LPs to listen to in the car.
#3 - I wouldn't know, because I never have anyone over.
#7 - Used to order "hot" at a Thai place I went to frequently, then started asking for more chili. After the 2nd or 3rd time, the waitress told me to order "Thai hot", which I did. That went on for a while. Then I guess they got a new cook, or changed their recipes. Hottest stuff I'd ever eaten, outside of extreme hot sauces. But damn, their food was so good. My stomach doesn't tolerate that any more - more's the pity. - jed
Once upon a time, my sinuses were all blocked up and I went to a Thai restaurant and ordered “spicy” to clear them out. Boy, howdy, that did the trick.
2. Replace the cassettes with 8 tracks and that could be part of the music collection that I kept in my car in high school (early 70s). 15. Injection is nice but I'd rather be blown. 16. Jane Jetson
2: Well, sort of. There's no shortage of shit music there, although I will admit to buying the first Mariah Carey album. I had also moved onto CDs by the time a lot of this stuff came out. I do NOT miss cassette tapes at all, they're just a bad memory now, full of hiss and distortion. 3: Sadly it's the only time I clean lately. 7: I know with Indian food if I order hot it comes do hot I can't taste anything but the heat and it kind of ruins it. Plus I can't quite take that like I used to. 12: It's a crying shame that Al Sharpton won't die in a prison cell for the things he's done. 17: I remember the Columbine shooter kids spent something like a half hour trying to blow up a propane tank. It's not so easy. 19: I had slightly elevated cholesterol which cleared up after a little heart scare last year, from just eating a bit better. My doctor seemed surprised it resolved itself without drugs.

DeleteOnly one problem.... you will be tempted to become a Tennessee Volunteer fan... Avoid that and go for the East Tennessee Buccaneers Good Luck,

We used to call Kingsport, the Imperium of Kingsport because they had been running amok with annexations.
DeleteKingsport is OK, But I would choose the area around Sparta-Cookeville-Livingston instead.
I went to engineering school at Tenn Tech and loved the area.
In the ongoing saga of doctor bs and medical malfeasance with complications of front office witchiness, Kenny helps me to keep it together.
ReplyDelete#19 ~ yeah, fuck that shit. Carnivore diet is awesome and my hair hasn’t been this thick since before being pregnant.
ReplyDelete#8. If the media is included, the one on the left would be an overflowing 55 gallon drum.
ReplyDeleteI had a tape cabinet, but no Mariah Carey and whatever else was in that mess.
ReplyDelete16. Either Daphne or Velma.

Mrs Incredible or Lois from Family Guy
DeleteSoooo, I guess the local democratic party meetings are held in some small restaurant booth? 😉
ReplyDelete#2 - I still have two briefcases filled with cassette tapes just like this.

We will need a much larger jar for this one!
Thanks for the memes, but especially for the neck exercise inspiration. I should do more of those.

ReplyDelete#2, How about shoeboxes with 8 tracks & milk crates with vinyl?
