1: The pendulum is swinging the other way, and these people are in for a rough couple of decades. They earned it.
6: I wish this wasn't true. I ran some errands last week, went into 4 stores. I didn't interact with anyone who wasn't a female from India. 99% of them are so miserable. Contrast this to the influx of Ukrainian "refugees" and Filipino people we've also seen recent years. They're friendly and polite, some of the girls are actually pretty damn cute, and the Ukrainians at least look like me which is so refreshing.
It's gotten to a point where I buy most of my groceries at the local Safeway, which can be pretty expensive, because it seems like it's the last store in the city that hasn't been invaded and occupied by Indians yet. Employee turnover there is almost nonexistent so I hope it remains that way.
#1 You sure about that? I fear backlash from the Trump years will be brutal. Midterms are not looking great, hence the Texas redistricting extravaganza and Trump's approval polls are scary. I know polls have been wrong before but they were only wrong when Trump was on the ballot (seems like they can't account for his popularity). But when he is not in the ballot republican/maga voting drops a lot.
Anon, anybody that puts any stock whatsoever in polls is a fool. They're skewed right from the start by targeting certain demographics no matter how much they insist that it's random polling.
2016 Trump won 2018 Trump is not on the ballot. Republicans got their ass handed to them 2020 Trump got millions more votes than in 2016 2022 Trump is not on the ballot. Republicans got their ass handed to them. The red tsunami that was supposed to happen never materialized. 2024 Trump won
The pattern is clear. When Trump is on the ballot MAGA/Republicans come in droves to vote. When Trump is not on the ballot MAGA/Republicans stay home and don't vote. It makes sense. Nobody in MAGA wants to vote for Ted Cruz, Lindsey Graham or Josh Holley but everyone is exited to vote for Trump.
In 2026 Trump is not on the ballot---> MAGA will stay home and liberals are VERY motivated to vote. Republicans will get their asses handed to them once again.
The worse part is that Trump is term limited. Who will excite MAGA to vote again? Vance, Tucker, Rubio, Banon? Which brings me back to my original point. I fear the backlash that will follow the Trump era.
Dude, you take these memes waaaaay too seriously. Try getting some enjoyment out of them, the way they're intended. Jesus Christ..... I bet you're a real joy to live with.
6: They're everywhere. I went into the Police Licensing Centre here in West Oz yesterday - they deal with (among other things) licenses for security guards. I was there for a couple of hours getting my issue resolved and got to watch the queue for security guard applications. For two hours EVERY SINGLE APPLICANT WAS AN INDIAN! Even worse, I saw several who had to bring a translator because they DID NOT SPEAK ENGLISH!
I can name 100s of examples! -Government: Lets start a trade war and then I can say I fixed it when we negotiate agreements that leave us all paying more than before!
Case in point the UK. On average the UK imposed 3% tariffs on US imports before 2025. Some specific products had higher tariffs (agricultural products) but most had 0% tariff (virtually free trade). In 2024 we had a trade surplus with the UK in both goods and services. Following liberation day and the subsequent "agreements" now the US imposes 25% tariff on steel and aluminum, 10% tariff on cars and varying values for other goods including pharmaceuticals.
Bottom line is that we all in America pay an extra tax on UK goods because we wanted to fight a trade war with a country with which we had a surplus in both goods and services and yes pharmaceuticals means your prescription drugs will be more expensive because they were too cheap before. Government at its best!
12 messed me up for 13. I would be looking around for Bill Cosby. I think double tap to the head. If you're poking that with the stick, make sure it If a Firestick

ReplyDeleteThe whole Sydney Sweeney has to be the dumbest internet fueled non-controversy/rage bait episode ever.

#1) Oh good! So your telling me we only have to listen to that caterwauling for another four years. At least I have something to look forward to.
