As of today 35 US states have legalized child marriage. Needles to say that 99.99999% of children getting "married" are girls. Not just Islam. There is plenty of work to do at home.
About ten years ago Missouri revamped their law when they discovered a loophole that allowed girls as young as ten to marry IF they were pregnant. If you father of the fetus was more than five years older, he went to jail regardless. There were several states that were similar, and all were working to close them. Some states still have a five year rule so an 18 or 19 yo can marry a fifteen year old again, If she is pregnant.

It works both ways, trust me. Up until a few years ago I bought new Wranglers because I wore the old ones out. Now I buy new Wranglers because I've 'outgrown' an otherwise perfect pair.
