The double album Live from Japan was the first album my brother and I had ever bought. Before that my dad bought us 45's from the grocery store. We paid around 7.00 for this which was a princely sum back then.
On their return to the States, they got popped with pot in the drum set. Big stink, and they didn't come to Boise. I was PISSED! I had the cost of the ticket covered, what, $6-7 bucks, like anon said, princely sum. Had a buddy who's older brother was driving us. Yeah, real pisser. They were/are a great group.

A classic album from my younger days.
ReplyDeleteAmong the very best live albums ever produced. Every cut on there is better than the studio version.

ReplyDeleteAlso, D. P. would've been my 1st concert, but I caught Black Oak Arkansas when they hit Boise in '73 I believe it was, kinda odd, but a great show.
DeleteThey were my first concert. Saarbrucken Hall, Saarbrucken West Germany, 1974. I think it was 1974, anyway. Humble Pie opened for them.
