  1. #8 Kids were little, used some 1/4" plywood to make a drink holder to sit between them in the back seat.

    #7, definitely not driving anywhere.

    1. #2 is a handheld shower wand, held up by a potato smasher & a nail.

    2. #2 Hard to see but maybe just a large nail into the wall stud; potato mashing blade hangs on it, etc. A 3-part solution; interesting if/when it falls off.

  4. #8 A roll of duct tape makes a nice portable cup-holder that keeps it's position, especially on carpet.

  6. #3 Picture just before securing it with spray foam.
#8 Downtown LA cup holder. You can explain it away to cops before chunking it through a window.

  7. I use the roll of duct tape too. Tape comes in handy, and holds beverages out of site.

#7: Ya gotta be creative in certain deep blue cities.

#8: Wood armrests? it must be an upscale Yugo

  10. #7 ... What, a manual transmission is not sufficiently anti-theft all by itself? Is the owner worried about geriatric car thieves? I think there is a real market for fake four-on-the-floor spoofing rigs.

  13. #7 is pretty clever, actually. And it HAS to be in Europe somewhere, because +99% of car thieves in the USA don’t know how to drive a manual anyway, so just a stick all by itself is all the theft deterrent anyone needs here.

We went to a Michelin-3 Star restaurant last month and the valets weren’t able to park our Jeep. So it sat out front, flanked by numerous exotic and luxury cars the restaurant likes to feature out front to give a not so subtle hint at their clientele inside.

  14. Some of these show a certain spatial intelligence that they don't teach in school. It may seem funny (and it is) but these kinds of things are exactly why my pre college work as an Aircraft Mechanic helped me so much in my later career in Engineering.

  18. Starker here,
#7- My 2¢, it's in 5th, should be in 1st or Reverse & I would bet, if you unscrew the knob, the lock would just flip over the top. Visual Deterrent.
