If you can’t pee well due to an enlarged prostate, ask your do. To prescribe Flomax (tamsulosin—generic). It is like night and day. The generic is fine. A diuretic increases the amount of urine that your kidneys produce, but do nothing to ease the urine flow. NEVER take a diuretic before bed, or you will have the urge to go all night. The exception is if your doctor tell you to do so (usually because of edema brought on by heart problems)
