Much ado over nothing

Personnel from Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield took custody of an old mortar shell found in the backyard shed of a north Modesto home Tuesday morning, the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office reported Wednesday.

I can just about guarantee you that a hundred or more former employees at Riverbank Army Ammunition Plant saw the picture of the mortar and said, "Huh, that's just like the one I have out in the garage." That's a pretty fair assumption seeing as the road it was found on is a mere 4 miles as the crow flies from the old ammo plant.
Seriously, there's no tail fins or fuse assembly, it's just the hollowed out body of a mortar shell that should've went to Rock Island Armory to be completed and loaded with explosives instead of going home with a loving and caring employee.
