Wirecutter: The Early Years.

- Irish

For all the Obamney fans out there

If Mitt Romney is such a wonderful man, why wasn't he good enough for the Republican ticket four years ago? Nothing has changed in the past 4 years, yet now all of a sudden he's going to save our country?
Like I told a commenter (who actually called me a leftist) today, come back after 4 years of Obamney and tell me that you have any more Freedoms or if this country is any closer to a Constitional Government.
This politician supported the NDAA, Patriot Act and Assault Weapon Ban. It is a matter of public record.
Fuck him. A little evil is evil and slavery is slavery no matter who the master is.

The dog cheats

Found this over at The Feral Irishman.
Go over and check his new header and then read why it's up.

Obama/Romney. Either/Or. Same Ol' Shit.

Come November, the American people will be faced with two distinct options, reelect President Barack Obama or vote for Mitt Romney. The liberal Democrat and the Republican conservative seem to stand in stark contrast. They come from different backgrounds and have different views on most social issues like same-sex marriage, abortion, immigration. On the surface, Romney and Obama appear to be conflicting in ideas and ideals on all fronts. The popular perception is that Romney and Obama represent polices that are polar opposites of each other.
But this perception is absolutely false. In reality, when it comes to the most critical issues effecting America today like national debt, bank and corporate bailouts, monetary policy, foreign policy, military, civil liberties, Constitution, etc., the range of difference in their policies spans from non-existent to marginal.
Media wants you to think that this election is about abortion and gay marriage. It’s not.
As important as those issues are, clearly, the top three priorities for American people right now are the financial crisis, the unending wars and the erosion of our Constitution.

The Ghost of John Stark

The Ghost of John Stark
The latest post is a nice biography of Gen. John Stark.

I assume they will pursue the death penalty

DEER CREEK — A semitrailer truck hauling 40,000 pounds of bacon overturned Wednesday on Interstate 74 near Deer Creek, spilling its load.
The driver, Rodney J. Kalman, 57, of Muskegon, Mich., was taken to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria, with what state police said were minor injuries. He was charged with improper lane usage.
The semi was eastbound about 5 p.m. in the left lane at milepost 109 when the truck drifted left into the center median, police said.
The trailer broke open as the truck rolled on its side, spilling its cargo into the grassy median, police said.
The scene, which still was being cleaned up at 9 p.m., did not block the highway, police said.
The load will be discarded, police said.

Fucking hilarious.....

A U-Haul truck carrying equipment for Vice President Joe Biden's campaign event in Detroit Monday was stolen this weekend, ABC News confirmed with United States Secret Service.
Ed Donovan, a spokesman for the USSS, told ABC News the truck carrying equipment was stolen between late Saturday night and early Sunday morning at the Westin Hotel in Detroit. He would not specify what kind of equipment was in the truck.
Biden's speech at the Metro Detroit AFL-CIO Labor Day Rally in downtown Michigan will still go on as planned starting at noon Monday.

They probably left the keys in it, not suspecting that there might be criminals in Detroit.
It's an understandable mistake.

NEW YORK (AP) - Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe lost his way kayaking in the waters off New York's Long Island and was picked up by a U.S. Coast Guard boat and ferried to a harbor, officials said Sunday. The 48-year-old actor was kayaking with a friend and launched from Cold Spring Harbor Saturday afternoon on the Long Island Sound, according to U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer Robert Swieciki. As it got dark, the two got lost and eventually headed for shore, beaching their kayaks in Huntington Bay, nearly 10 miles east from where they had set out. The U.S. Coast Guard was patrolling the area, and heard Crowe call out to them from the shore around 10 p.m., Swieciki said. The "Gladiator" actor and his friend, who Swieciki didn't recognize, paddled over to the boat. The Coast Guard officers pulled them up and, along with their kayaks, gave them a ride to Huntington Harbor. "He just needed a little bit of help, he just got a little lost," Swieciki said. "It wasn't really a rescue, really, more of just giving someone a lift."

He never leaves sight of land and gets lost? Hell, even with as bad of a sense of direction that I have, I know all you gotta do is turn around. If land is on your left as you head out, put it on your right when you head back.
Of course, that's not as easy as calling the Coast Guard who is there to provide rides to dumbasses.

Just a little burnt out

Gearing up for Milfy Monday

Because they didn't give a flying fuck?

Detroit police are investigating why a murder suspect had to turn himself twice before he was arrested.
The 36-year-old man walked into a fire station two hours after he allegedly shot four people at a party early Saturday morning, police said in a statement. Two of the victims died, while the other two were seriously wounded, police said.
The suspect, who was not identified, told firefighters at 3:20 a.m. Saturday that he was connected to the shootings, police said.
Fire fighters called the Detroit Police Department, but they were told all available officers were on high priority runs and that no one would be able to be dispatched to the station, ABC News affiliate WXYZ-TV in Detroit reported.
The suspect left the fire station and went to a police station where he was taken into custody.
Police Chief Ralph Godbee said the department would conduct an administrative investigation to determine whether the situation was handled appropriately.
"Every effort to ensure that this person was taken into police custody should have occurred. Therefore an administrative investigation will be conducted to determine if this police run was handled appropriately and to ascertain if there were any other patrol resources which should have been made available to respond to the Detroit Fire Engine Quarters," Godbee said.
A message left by ABCNews.com with the Detroit police was not immediately returned.

Another "Aw Fuck" moment in time

You're going to have to wait

I want to do a post on Pop's funeral - something that's normally pretty personal - but because of the turnout by the Patriot Guard Riders to honor a Fallen Brother I do want to post something on it.
But I need more time. I've got a lot of things running through my head right now, all good stuff, but a lot of it and I need to get it straight before I write about it.
Plus I want to steal some pictures of the Vets in attendance from my relatives' FB pages first.

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up.
