1.  January, 2013:  Center of Immigration Studies expresses concerns about a division of the Department of Homeland Security called the Student and Exchange Visitor Program.  Some fine upstanding students have abused their student visa such as Quazi Mohammed Nafis, Faisal Shahzad, Mohamed Atta and Marwan Al-Shehhi.  The first two were bombers and, in the case of the last two, learned how to fly planes into a building.

2.  January 4, 2013:  Judicial Watch expresses their concern about the lack of regulations about "students" from foreign countries.  They were concerned about "the fraud-infested foreign student visa program".

I do find it interesting that the Obamessiah refuses to call today's bombing a terrorist act, yet if I were to threaten to kill my neighbor the local police would charge me with making terrorist threats.
I guess the pResident doesn't want to offend anybody, especially a muslim. But had it been a white boy that was responsible, he'd be screaming the 'T' word from the roof tops.

I've got CNN on to hear the leftist point of view and there's these two female commentators discussing who the culprit might be concerning the bombing. One of them says something to the effect that it's too early to tell but we 'have to remember that this is close to the anniversary of other terrorist attacks like Oklahoma City and Waco.'
Waco? WACO??? It was the fucking government that committed the terrorist attack in Waco, you dumbass. Remember? A bunch of people that the government decided needed to be eliminated because they didn't agree with the fed's way of thinking, so they held them under siege and then burned them alive - men, women and children. Remember?

[UPDATE BELOW] CNN's national security analyst Peter Bergen twice suggested that "right-wing extremists" could be behind Monday's Boston Marathon bombings.

Appearing on CNN's live coverage of the Boston Marathon bombing with host Jake Tapper, Bergen was asked to explain if the bombing could have been an act of terror. Bergen answered in the affirmative, and proceeded to name possible suspects depending on the type of explosive used. [Transcript below. Audio here. Video below the break.]

Who were Bergen's suspects?

Al Qaeda and "right-wing extremists."

[UPDATE: 4/15/13 5:04 p.m. EDT] Peter Bergen again tossed out the idea that a "right-wing extremist group" could have carried out the bombings.

"I think the actual – the constituency inside the bomb will make a big difference about how we identify the person who did this," he explained at the end of CNN's 4 p.m. ET hour of live coverage. The perpetrators "could be a right-wing extremist group," Bergen insisted, if the matter inside the bomb was not hydrogen peroxide, which he said is a "signature" of an al Qaeda attack.

JAKE TAPPER: Peter, does this – obviously we don't want to speculate. We don't know what this was. But is there reason for people who deal in counter-terrorism to think that this is an act of terrorism? Or suspect it strongly, at least?

PETER BERGEN: Sure. Although I'm reminded of Oklahoma City which was a bombing, which was initially treated as a gas explosion. So first reports are often erroneous. But the fact that there were two explosions – two bombings – one of the things I'd be looking at is once the device, if it is a device, is found, what kind of explosives were used? For instance, if it was hydrogen peroxide, this is a signature of al-Qaeda. If it was more conventional explosives, which are much harder to get a hold of now, that might be some other kind of right-wing extremists. We've seen a number of failed bombing attempts by al-Qaeda using bombs, (Unintelligible) and for instance, the Manhattan subway in 2009, Faisal Shahzad in 2010, the attempt to bring down Northwest Flight 253 over Detroit in 2009. But we've also seen other extremist groups, right-wing groups, for instance, trying to attack the Martin Luther King parade in Oregon in 2010.

Explosions at the Boston Marathon - at least 2 dead

BOSTON — Two explosions shattered the euphoria of the Boston Marathon finish line on Monday, sending authorities out on the course to carry off the injured while the stragglers in the 26.2-mile trek from Hopkinton were rerouted away from the smoking site of the blasts.

A federal law-enforcement source told The Post there are at least 12 dead and nearly 50 injured. Fox News reported that Massachusetts General Hospital was treating 10 people with amputated limbs and all operating rooms were on hold.

Law-enforcement sources said at least the first explosion occurred in the lobby of the Fairmont Hotel.

"There were two bombs that exploded near the finish line in today's Boston Marathon," The Boston Marathon's official Facebook page read. "We are working with law enforcement to understand what exactly has happened."

According to reports, authorities in Boston found a third explosive device that had not gone off and police were going to perform a controlled explosion. The airspace above the city was ordered cleared as well.

Authorities have a identified a suspect, a Saudi national, who is currently being guarded in a Boston hospital with shrapnel wounds.

The Boston Globe reported that there were up to 100 injuries stemming from the explosion.

Law-enforcement sources said at least the first explosion occurred in the lobby of a nearby hotel.

The NSA says the Utah Data Center is a facility for the intelligence community that will have a major focus on cyber security. The agency will neither confirm nor deny specifics. Some published reports suggest it could hold 5 zettabytes of data. (Just one zettabyte is the equivalent of about 62 billion stacked iPhones 5's-- that stretches past the moon.

One man we hoped would answer our questions, the current director of the NSA General Keith Alexander, declined Fox News's requests to sit down for an interview, so we stopped by the offices of a Washington think tank, where Alexander was speaking at a cyber security event last year.

Asked if the Utah Data Center would hold the data of American citizens,  Alexander said, "No...we don't hold data on U.S. citizens," adding that the NSA staff "take protecting your civil liberties and privacy as the most important thing that they do, and securing this nation."

But critics, including former NSA employees, say the data center is front and center in the debate over liberty, security and privacy.

I'll be damned if I ever buy another Remington product

Remington Arms, a gun manufacturing company, will remain in New York after landing a hefty contract with the US government.

There have been waves in the world of gun industry recently as politicians pass stricter gun control laws. Just recently, Beretta announced that they would move out of Maryland following new gun control legislation. Similarly, rumors abound that HiViz and Magpul will leave Colorado in favor of more gun friendly states.

New York certainly doesn’t top the list for pro-gun states, so there was uncertainty surrounding the fate of Remington Arms. Based in Herkimer County, Remington potentially faced legal complications after Legislature passed a law banning the sale of military-style rifles.

Remington CEOs have decided to stay in New York, however, following a meeting with Sens. James Seward, Hugh Farley and Joseph Griffo, as well as Assemblymen Marc Butler, Claudia Tenney, and Anthony Brindisi. Shortly after the meeting, Congressman Richard Hanna announced that the Pentagon would award Remington an $80 million contract to make 5,000 sniper rifles over the next decade for the US Special Operations Command.

According to reports, Remington announced plans to invest $20 million into their plant, which currently employs 1,200 people.

DoD Issues Instructions on Military Support of Civilian Law Enforcement

The Department of Defense has issued an instruction clarifying the rules for the involvement of military forces in civilian law enforcement.  The instruction establishes “DoD policy, assigns responsibilities, and provides procedures for DoD support to Federal, State, tribal, and local civilian law enforcement agencies, including responses to civil disturbances within the United States.”

Are the feds in your town?

I did a post yesterday afternoon on the feds in Seattle from an email sent in by Montana Pike Hunter and it's already up to 1051 hits as entry pages due to other bloggers posting it and referring it back to me. Compare that to 185 and 164 entry page hits on the posts before and after it.
So that tells me that not only are the bloggers that linked back to me are pissed about it but all of their readers are too.
