It works both ways, Chief.

During an interview on radio station WVON 1690 am this week Chicago’s Police Chief Gary McCarthy surprised listeners when he commented on the upcoming concealed carry law that must be passed in Illinois within the next six months. McCarthy made a scary prediction that citizens carrying legally could be shot by Chicago police.
News in Black reported, via Guns Save Life:
“You put more guns on the street expect more shootings,” McCarthy said. “I don’t care if they’re licensed legal firearms, people who are not highly trained… putting guns in their hands is a recipe for disaster. So I’ll train our officers that there is a concealed carry law, but when somebody turns with a firearm in their hand the officer does not have an obligation to wait to get shot to return fire and we’re going to have tragedies as a result of that. I’m telling you right up front.”

  1. Back when Kentucky was attempting to get a CCW law passed for the first time, the Lexington police chief threatened to turn every traffic stop into a felony stop. He was going to instruct his men to pull every one out of their cars, cuff and frisk them, all for "officer safety".

Besides, what this idiot in Chicago is suggesting is already SOP. Cops always shoot first, make up a story and get a few days off with a paid vacation.

    Fuck the cops.
    Fuck Obama.
    Remember the USS Liberty.

  2. Yeah. "The cops would be fucked" was the first thing I thought.
Sometimes they forget who they work for, and need a painful reminder.

  3. Really, so no matter what the situation, these cops will shoot first, shoot often, then lie. Sounds like they do need reminders. Here in Arizona they passed the Constitutional Carry law, and bleeding hearts cried all day. "Oh, blood will run in the streets! Oh woe is us!" Same thing happened here that happened elsewhere that allowed citizens the right to protect themselves. A few morons got shot trying to rob people, and the story died down, along with a lot of the crime.

  4. Scare tactics, nice. I guess that's the Chicago way.

  5. If I were foolish enough to be in Chicago for some reason, I would expect the cops to shoot first (as in most cities, but worse in the Communist Heartland of America).

Consequently, I would be prepared to be pre-emptive in any encounter involving Chicago law enforcement officers. Better to kill one or two of them and go to jail than to allow the corrupt scum to simply take your life without resistance.

  6. So if ever I run into a Chicago cop (unlikely as I avoid shitholes)I will shoot him/her as soon as I see him/her in self defense. Fuckwits.

Can't say I've ever seen someone just walking around in public with a firearm in their hand. If I were to walk around waving a gun at cops I would expect to get shot, woudln't blame the cops--so I don't do that.

  8. You are 11 times more likely to be shot by a cop than an everyday citizen according to Professor John Lott's book, "More Guns, Less Crime".

Why hasn't anyone killed that rotten assed McCarthy yet?
