Oh, no doubt. I can't see any tail numbers, it's in shallow water and right at the shoreline. It's common practice for smugglers to do an airborne drop then ditch the plane.

It probably was. At the profit margin for illicit narcotics, the loss of a general-aviation aircraft per trip would be a minor expense.
