Coronavirus cases have continued to climb in the United States, and more major retailers are moving from recommending to requiring customers wear masks if they are to enter their stores. Here are some of the largest that currently are requiring face coverings, or will very soon.

Man, it killed me that Publix will require face diapers so I did a little googling and discovered Winn-Dixie doesn’t require them. Sorry, Publix, I love your stores but I love my freedom more

DeleteI was in a Kentucky Rural King Saturday afternoon. Lil Andy had already put his "mask order" into effect. The store had signs up at the front door about "mandatory masks". I did not wear a mask. About half the customers I saw were not wearing masks. No store employee said anything about masks, and I did speak to a couple of them at the gun counter, the guy giving you a clean cart and the cashier. Polite and pleasant conversations with all of them.
ReplyDeleteOf course their clientele tends towards the redneck with a pistol on his belt, so I would not expect a lot of compliance with a government mandate. We shall see if the health department tries to crack down on them.

Honestly Exile, that's exactly the wrong approach. You're playing right into their hands, because the fuckers promulgating this fake bullshit: (1) want you to stay home, (2) want you to shop online, so you'll be easier to monitor, and (3) want to shut down local brick and mortar stores, to give them more control over the economy. The logical approach is to go out of your way to support local stores which DON'T put restrictions into place, and to tell them that is WHY you're supporting them.

‘The sign say you have to wear a mask!”
I looked toward the sign and back to her, I said “ if the sign said *kill all jews* would you?”
‘What!? No that’s sick” she said.
And I said “ so, it’s ok for you to disobey a sign but not one for me? I have decided NOT to wear a mask and to NOT kill Jews and I hope you will join me in solidarity.
She stuck her hands to her hips and said “ you still have to wear a mask”
So I gave her my hardest look and said..” Jew killer”
And left.
I would have loved to see the look on her face but she was wearing a mask.

A doctor, who is wearing this thing all the time during a surgery wore three of them and there is no evidence you have not enough air to breathe. or the women who are in labour and wearing it the whole time? and you are wining about respiratory problems? dont be a baby and stop bitching. and of course expected USA behavior....lawsuit and freedom. that is all what you can do? freedom and lawsuit? nothing else matters? thats your main thing above all? You apparently missed the video I've posted in the past week or so where a guy did the same test that OSHA uses to checks oxygen level and yes, wearing a mask does cause those levels to fall below minimum standards.

And let the freedom and its my right talk aside. You people live with others. You aren't alone. If you refuse to look out for others and wear this ridiculous mask for 15 minutes to buy your stuff at the shop.. Then better stay with your ass at home and buy online and don't interact with people you obviously hate.
Got a question... If they lock you up for one hour straight in a room with coughing and sneezing covid patients... You still won't wear a mask or demand they should wear one? Think about it.
Except that Freedom and 'It's my Right' is more important to me (as well as a lot of other readers here) than life itself. We fought our Revolution and Civil Wars for those reasons. So no, I can't and won't put that aside.
DeleteAs far as sitting in a room full of covid positive patients goes - there's a HUGE difference between that and the 650 people that tested positive in my County of 26,000 - and 99% of those are elderly people with already compromised immune systems.
Roland, if someone "locks you up for one hour straight in a room", you really have much bigger problems than whether to wear a mask.
