A M551 Sheridan track commander in the 11th ACR said that when the electrical firing switch in his TC joy stick went out, the crew wired commo wire between an interior light switch and the gun firing system. Need to fire main gun or coax machine gun, just turn on the light switch. Kept the vehicle off deadline.
After going through a divorce, and paying child support of half of my take home pay, when I remarried, it took me almost 8 years before I was able to put my 2nd wife's name on my own bank account. We had an account for both of us, and I put most of my check in that one, but I kept the one that I had in just my name, and put like 10-20$ a week in it. I used it to put gas in my car or something. But after being taken for child support, I was determined that I would always have something " just in case" I had to fall back on it. Of course, my wife always has handled our bills, since she is better at it than me, but now they are all taken out of our accounts, and we have no debt, so it is not a problem.

Right... Alaskan brown bears grow to 1200 lbs (1500 lbs on Kodiak) eating skin and brains. Having spent most of my life around these animals, I can tell you they are there for the meat. Many times, I have taxied my plane to the beach and found lots of skeletons and one or two half-eaten salmon.
