Soviet BT5 tank about 1937-39. Used in Spanish Civil War,in Mongolia against the Japanese, Finland, and WW II.The Christie road suspension gear was acquired from the USA, after being rejected by a short-sighted US Army.Cannon was 45mm.
BT-7 light tank from before or during first year of war with Germany. Cristy suspendion and could race along on roads with tracks, if speed was essential. Thin armor and easily destroyed, though.
I don't know, but I suspect it's a blank charge. To manage that curve, the round would have to be damned near as short as a BB. Of course, I've been wrong before. Ask any of the women with whom I've been involved. --Tennessee Budd
#1 I understand exactly where the man is coming from. My wife feels guilty when she spends 10$ on a shirt. I try to get her to spend money on herself, but it seems like a mother's instinct to instead, spend money on her kids or grandkids instead of herself. Myself, I wait until Dunham's has a sale, and pay 9$ for a pair of jeans, the odd brand kind. I did buy 2 pair of LL Bean jeans, but from a second hand store, with the tags still on the brand new pants. I don't remember for sure what I paid, it was a long time ago, and I still have one pair, but it couldn't have been much more than 5$, because that was pretty much my upper limit for second hand stores. I will simply say it, I am fat, at least to the point that paying a lot of money for clothes is not worth it. When you weigh 165, that is what you tend to weigh, always. When you weigh 230, on Monday, you might weigh 235 on Friday, or you might weigh 225. I suspect that anyone else who is overweight, can say the same thing. As for the kid who caught the fish, that is bigger than any bass I ever caught. But I cannot remember my first fish, since I started with a cane pole, on the river, just fishing for anything. I would get excited catching a minnow or a horned ace.
#1, I used to have similar reactions in shopping malls and box stores. Probably a contributing factor in why they went under. I have two shirts I paid $40 each during my time in Hawaii, mainly to know what it was like to wear a $40 shirt. The $1? $3? shirt from the thrift store on MCBH is still one of my favorites. I haven't bought new cloths in years am am just wearing out my old skivvy shirts until there is nothing left of them while I save money.
#8 is lit. I fed my dog like that all the time, gave him his breakfast and dinner ( raw meats ) in a tuppaware dish and he would carry it a quarter mile to his pen to eat.
#3 This is major tom to ground control.
ReplyDelete#7 This will be remembered his entire life.
I still remember my first fish.

A meal? Be excused from the firing squad?
Delete#5 - I'm not a gun expert but would think this is impossible?
ReplyDeleteNot if you get the radius close to right. Source for that shot is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMx-bfasz5I
DeleteYou've also got the German "krummlauf" adapter (just a piece of barrel that's curved) for the StG-44 in WWII. Same thing, just not as radical.
Brits actually tested a 90 degree one in 40's, IIRC. An add on to an existing gun.
DeleteHeavy and difficult to aim, as you might expect...

I liked #10, Grandpa looked excited and thrilled, the kid who caught the fish has many more fish to catch.
ReplyDelete#7 I never caught a fish that big. Congratulations, kid.
ReplyDelete#10 made me forget the other 9. Do something nice for an elderly person they appreciate it more and will have something to talk about for weeks.
