#5 -- Most convention centers do not have a car sized freight elevator to all floors. If one is staging an auto show, lifting cars in through a window is the obvious (though tedious) solution.
RULE #1 do not drop the Aston Martin that costs over $300K.
A number of years ago, a brand new pair chaps saved my leg, if not my life. I'd borrowed them from another crew's supervisor not 10 minutes before they were put to the test and profusely apologized to him for messing them up. He looked at me and said Don't worry about it, man. They did exactly what we bought them for. Another pair is a lot cheaper than a trip to the ER or morgue.
